Dear Parents

Thank you for your enquiry regarding a placement for your child at Pretoria Technical High School for 2025.

Please note: it is important to note that PTHS is a high-pressure school. Therefore, this application will place your child on a waiting list. Placement at PTHS is not guaranteed.

YOUR APPLICATION WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED IF ALL REQUIRED DOCUMENTS ARE NOT SUBMITTED

Step 1: Application Forms must be downloaded
Step 2: The completed form, together with all supporting documents are to be emailed to: admin@pths.co.za

These documents are compulsory and must be certified:

1. Certified copy of Birth Certificate
2. Certified copy of Latest School Report
3. Certified copy of Parent’s ID documents / Passport (or death certificate, if relevant)
4. Proof of residence for both parents, if different (either current lease agreement or water & lights account 

        NO AFFIDAVITS AND BANK STATEMENTS ACCEPTED

     5. Letter of employment (if applying based on working in feeder zone)

ADDITIONAL DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR NON-SOUTH AFRICAN CITIZENS

1. Certified copy of official Permanent Residence
2. Certified copy of Study Permit documents
3. Certified copy of Diplomatic Visa
4. Certified copy of Asylum or Refugee Permit

Placement

Preference will be given to those who are “living within school’s feeder zone”.     

Placement for Gr  11 to 12 will only be considered for learners transfering from another Technical School. 

Should a space become available and we are able to offer placement for your child, you will be contacted telephonically.

PLEASE NOTE SCHOOL FEES PAYMENT IS COMPULSORY AS WE ARE A QUINTILE 5 (FEE PAYING) SCHOOL. 

Should the School become aware of any fraudulent documentation or information submitted, the application will immediately be disqualified and will not be considered.
